Spin up a random workout in seconds

Pick your muscle focus, equipment, and time — RepWheel instantly builds a complete workout with warm-up, working sets, and cool-down. No app, no account, no ads to click through.

Why use a random workout generator?

Decision fatigue is real — most people quit their workout before they even start because they can't decide what to do. RepWheel removes the guesswork so you can walk in and start moving.

Beat decision fatigue

No more scrolling through apps or staring blankly at the gym floor. One click and your session is planned.

Fits your time

Set anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes and get a workout scaled to fit, with sensible rest and round counts.

Keeps training fresh

Randomized exercise selection means you rarely repeat the same session twice — great for beating plateaus.

Built for every kind of session

RepWheel draws from a mix of strength, bodyweight, and cardio moves so every generated workout stays balanced and varied.

How RepWheel builds every workout

Every exercise in the database is tagged with a muscle focus (upper, lower, core, cardio, or full body), a required equipment type, and a difficulty level. When you hit "Generate," the tool filters that database down to moves that match your choices, then picks a set of exercises sized to your time — roughly one exercise for every four minutes, bounded between four and ten so a 10-minute session doesn't turn into two moves and a 45-minute session doesn't turn into twenty.

Difficulty controls more than which exercises are eligible. Beginner workouts use two rounds with 45 seconds of rest between them; intermediate steps up to three rounds with 30 seconds rest; advanced pushes to four rounds with only 20 seconds rest, which is where the real conditioning demand comes from. Every rep and time value is then rounded to a clean, usable number — reps land on multiples of five once a movement calls for more than a handful, and timed holds or cardio bursts always run at least a full 60 seconds in five-second steps, so nothing you're asked to do reads as a token effort. A warm-up and cool-down are pulled in automatically so you're never starting cold or skipping recovery.

The exercise list itself is reviewed and expanded periodically — new movements, corrected rep ranges, and demo animations get added as we test and refine the generator, rather than being written once and left untouched.

Frequently asked questions

Is RepWheel really free?

Yes. RepWheel is completely free to use, with no account, sign-up, or app download required. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising.

How are the workouts generated?

RepWheel pulls from a curated database of exercises tagged by muscle focus, required equipment, and difficulty level, then randomly assembles a balanced set with sensible reps, rounds, and rest periods.

Can I use this if I only have bodyweight exercises available?

Yes — select "Bodyweight Only" under Equipment and RepWheel will build a full workout using no equipment at all.

Is this a substitute for professional training advice?

No. RepWheel is a general fitness tool for entertainment and workout planning convenience. Always consult a qualified professional before beginning a new exercise program — see our About page for more.

Why do timed exercises always last at least a minute?

Anything shorter tends to end before your muscles are actually under meaningful load, especially for holds like planks or wall sits. RepWheel floors every timed exercise at 60 seconds and steps up from there in clean five-second increments, so every set is long enough to count.

Can I save or print a generated workout?

Yes. After generating a workout, use the "Copy Workout" button to copy the full plan as plain text — you can paste it into notes, a messaging app, or a document and print it from there.

Does RepWheel work on my phone?

Yes. The generator is fully responsive and works the same way on a phone, tablet, or desktop browser — there's no app to download.

Will I get the same workout twice?

Rarely. Each generation randomly samples from the eligible exercise pool for your chosen focus, equipment, and difficulty, so back-to-back workouts almost always differ. Use the "Reroll" button any time to get a fresh set of moves without changing your settings.
